PLANNED ACTIVITIES FOR AUGUST 2020

Conducting weekly District Health Team (DHT) meetings.
Conduct Integrated DHT support supervision
Order for cycle 1 (1st cycle) Essential Medicines and Health Supplies and HIV/AIDS commodities
Coordination meetings with the partners
Conduct monthly data cleaning.
Conduct Result Based Financing(RBF) verification in the 11 RBF implementing Health Facilities
Distribute vaccines to Health facilities 8. Conduct COVID-19 preparedness activities
ACHIEVEMENTS

We successfully ordered for cycle 1 (1st cycle) Essential Medicines and Health Supplies and HIV/AIDS commodities. Delivery is expected at the end of August.
The DHT conducted verification across the eleven RBF implementing Health facilities.
We submitted accountability for June 2020 Bilharzia mass drug administration in the three sub counties of Rwimi S/C, Kibiito S/C and Kiyombya S/C
We worked with the lower local government leaders to select two data clerks per village for the forth coming mosquito net distribution.The two data clerks will work together with two VHTs per village to deliver the nets house to house.
We conducted two radio talk shows on Ngabu FM. Areas of focus were maternal and child health, COVID-19 and Hepatitis B Vaccination.
We distributed vaccines to all the 15 health facilities that have vaccine fridges(Kakinga HC III, Rwimi HC III, Kasunganyanja HC III, Kibiito HC IV, Kabonero HC III, Kicuuu HC II,Mujunju HC II, Kahondo HC II, Kisomoro HC III, Kibaate HC III, Rambia HC III, Mitandi HC III, Rwagimba HC III, and Kiyombya HC III)
We conducted DTF meeting on Thursday 6th August 2020 and members resolved to subsequently meet after every two weeks. However, it was agreed that members should be ready to attend an emergency meeting when deemed necessary.
Vehicles assigned for COVID-19 response have been returned for use by the respective departments following the opening of the public transport.
We monitored progress of construction of Kabahango HC III and inspected the site at Rubona HCII. Although the contractor was done with much of the works (95%), some areas were identified for him to improve before the official handover. The District Engineer is expected to closely follow with the contractor.
Baylor Uganda will support Kibiito HC IV, Yerya HC III and District Health Office with ultramodern communication equipment. The District Health team recommended that the equipment for Kibiito HC IV be installed at the facility boardroom while that for the District Health Office be installed at the District Headquarters.
PLANNED ACTIVITIES FROM 10th to 31st AUGUST 2020

Finalize Health Department Q4 PBS report. The generated report is not consistent with the actual financial revenues, expenditures and balances.
Monitoring of Health services with the sectoral committee on Thursday 13th August 2020 and the then meeting on Friday 14th August 2020. and present the budget for discussion and approval by the committee

Train Health workers on the 2020 consolidated guidelines for the prevention and treatment of HIV and AIDS in Uganda from 10th to 14th August 2020.
Start activities of distributing mosquitoes nets to the households between 9th to 21st August 2020
